*Please note - Most airlines prefer applicants with customer service experience so it is recommended that you have two years of customer service experience or plan to enrol in the Level 5 Diploma in Tourism & Travel Management after finishing this programme. This will give you the chance to gain valuable customer service experience through a domestic or international internship, and other employment opportunities before applying for flight attendant roles.

Applicants must:
Be 18 or over upon completion of the qualification due to the requirements of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (2012)*
Have achieved a minimum of NCEA Level 2 (with the recommended mix of subjects, including literacy and numeracy), or have an acceptable equivalent level of secondary education from a recognised education institution overseas or;
Have completed a Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in Tourism, Travel or Hospitality.
Special admission may be granted to applicants with no formal qualifications but who have evidence of relevant prior learning or work experience.

You must be able to
Gain a passport without restrictions
Meet the relevant aviation regulatory authority, Civil Aviation (CAA), or NZ Defense Force (NZDF) security vetting standards
Students should also be able to swim, including (but not limited to):
Swim freestyle (overarm) 25 metres, in swimmers
Swim 50 metres, any style within a 2 minute time frame, in clothing and lifejacket
Tread water for 2.5 mins
Rescue swim (drag a partner) 25 metres, and swap over
International Students
Applicants must:
Be 18 years or older on commencing the programme.
Demonstrate a level of English language competency equivalent to IELTS level 5.5 (academic), with no band less than 5.
This programme includes modules in tourism marketing, sustainability in tourism, as well as a case-study on Disney World. Meaning you'll have heaps of fun while you learn how to channel your passion for tourism into a career.
