*Please note - Most airlines prefer applicants with customer service experience so it is recommended that you have two years of customer service experience or plan to enrol in the Level 5 Diploma in Tourism & Travel Management after finishing this programme. This will give you the chance to gain valuable customer service experience through a domestic or international internship, and other employment opportunities before applying for flight attendant roles.

Domestic Students

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 or over upon completion of the qualification due to the requirements of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (2012)*

  • Have achieved a New Zealand or National Certificate qualifications in Tourism and Travel related areas at Level 3. Other equivalent qualifications will be considered.

Additional information

You must be able to 

  • Gain a passport without restrictions

  • Meet the relevant aviation regulatory authority, Civil Aviation (CAA), or NZ Defense Force (NZDF) security vetting standards

Students should also be able to swim.

This option may be available fees free if you are 24 or under at the start of course and do not hold a qualification at Level 3 or higher.
