From Student of the Year to International Internship – Jenna Chambers

NZ School of Tourism graduate Jenna is finding success after completing her studies. After studying Level 5 Tourism & Travel Management, Jenna was named Student of the Year for 2024 at the recent graduation ceremony this year, and has gone on to land an exciting internship at Sea Island Resort in Georgia, USA.

“To be named Student of the year, I can’t help but reflect on my time at NZST – I can honestly say it has been an amazing experience” Jenna shares.

Jenna headed off for her international internship in April, and says the experience so far has been positive for her, noting in particular the highlights of meeting new people and participating in fun work events. “I’ve enjoyed experiencing the different cultures and attending events such as First Friday in Brunswick and Easter at Sea Island. I’m grateful for this opportunity and hope others will be able to participate in this experience”.

Jenna credits her time at NZST for her success. “From day one, my trainer’s enthusiasm and commitment to our learning inspired me to push myself further and strive for excellence.”

We are super proud of Jenna for the hard work and dedication she put into her studies with us, and wish her the best for the remainder of her internship and the future.
